UX Designer

The UX Designer will conduct user research, create personas and journey maps, and apply Human-Centered Design principles to develop intuitive, user-centered designs for DOD enterprise applications. Key tasks include creating interactive prototypes, documenting design artifacts for DOD governance, and developing modular, responsive UI components based on USWDS 3.0 standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, workshops, and usability studies
- Create user personas and journey maps tailored to DOD operational environments
- Apply Human-Centered Design principles throughout the design lifecycle
- Create interactive prototypes, wireframes, and user interfaces using Figma and Adobe XD
- Document all design artifacts and obtain approvals through DOD governance processes
Requirements
- DOD Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship
- 3+ years of experience in UX design, including enterprise-scale applications
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, and USWDS 3.0
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying HCD principles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
