Product Designer (12 Month FTC)

The role involves designing new product ranges or improving existing ones, primarily apparel lines, according to the company's product calendar. This requires liaising with buyers and product developers to ensure business and client needs are met and executed.
Responsibilities
- Undertake market and trend research to identify key styles for each season
- Design new products and product ranges from scratch or improve existing ones
- Liaise with buyers and product developers to ensure the product needs of the business and the partner client are met
- Check samples coming through from the factories and advise of any design alterations
- Liaise with the Product Developer to ensure the products meet the brief and the design and work from a cost and margin perspective set by the business
Requirements
- Strong industry experience of designing apparel lines
- Relevant apparel design related degree or suitable qualification and experience
- Experience working with a variety of fabrics, both man-made and natural
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and relevant software programs
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
