The role involves applying a human-centered design process, including analysis, concept design, prototyping, and usability testing to create intuitive user experiences for complex Ultrasound systems. The designer will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to visualize and design user interfaces and interactions that align with user needs and Philips' guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a human-centered design process, including analysis, concept design, prototyping, and usability testing
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver user-focused solutions
  • Visualize and design intuitive user interfaces and interactions
  • Frame problems with a strong focus on user needs and requirements
  • Develop and validate user strategies, innovations, and experiences in line with Philips' Design Language System and Brand guidelines
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders, communicating design decisions transparently

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Design Research, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in UX/UI Design, including work on embedded, mobile, or desktop software devices
  • Affinity for healthcare and personal health
  • Experience designing for complex systems in regulated environments, preferably healthcare
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and visual design skills
  • Collaborative team player with experience in agile development processes
