Product Designer
Price Industries Limited 🇨🇦 Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
The successful candidate will design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks, perform necessary calculations and simulations to optimize performance, and prepare technical documentation for manufacturing. Responsibilities also include collaborating with various teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing service support to existing clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and test HVAC equipment and systems using SolidWorks and other engineering software tools
- Participated in prototype building and testing
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation for HVAC products
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC products
- Provide service support to existing clients by addressing inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a Mechanical Engineering Technology program
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidEdge, AutoCAD and other relevant design tools
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and testing related to HVAC systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
