Senior Design Engineering Specialist

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative products, components, and technologies for the Underground Hard Rock Vehicle team, focusing on setting design parameters and leading technical execution from concept through production. Responsibilities include guiding technical design evolution, overseeing prototyping and testing, monitoring emerging technologies, and ensuring lifecycle requirements are embedded throughout product development.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of innovative products and components
- Lead technical execution, including project planning and detailed engineering development
- Innovate and explore emerging technologies and methodologies
- Prototype and test equipment, including material selection and process optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing, manufacturability, and lifecycle requirements are embedded throughout product development
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science from an accredited program
- Underground Hard Rock Mining or Machinery experience
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
