The role involves being an integral part of the product design team creating next-generation CNN editorial experiences for broadcast news production, ranging from small iterative improvements to long-term vision. Responsibilities include creating design artifacts like information architecture diagrams, user flows, wireframes, and AI-powered prototypes to conceptualize product features.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the product design team creating the next generation of CNN editorial experiences
  • Create information architecture diagrams, experience journeys, user flows, wireframes, design mockups and interactive, AI-powered prototypes
  • Conduct regular user research sessions with editorial users
  • Perform usability tests and draw insights to make informed recommendations
  • Create, contribute, and maintain tokens and components for the design system

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a product designer
  • Mastery of Figma, including variables, components, styles, and shared libraries
  • AI prototyping expertise using Cursor, Figma Make, or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in utilizing, creating and modifying design system components
  • Experience working within large-scale or enterprise organizations
