Senior Product Designer, Design Systems

The Senior Product Designer will lead the design side of the AgencyAnalytics design system, focusing on its maintenance, evolution, and configuration using an AI-native approach, while ensuring alignment with design principles and product objectives. This role involves significant hands-on work (80%) improving components and workflows, alongside strategic input (20%) on long-term system governance and platform evolution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and Evolve the Design System, lead the design side of the design system
• Configure and implement AI, facilitate the use of AI in FE development and design ideation
• Enable FE development, structure and optimize the design system
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally, partner with the design team, front-end developers, and the App Platform Team
• Hands-On Design Work, spend 80% of time actively improving the component library
• Strategic Input, spend 20% of time focusing on long-term strategy for the design system
• Documentation & Governance, develop and maintain thorough documentation for the design system
• Training & Communication, take the lead in training and mentoring other designers and engineers
• Front-End Development Collaboration, work closely with developers to understand technical constraints

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product design, with a strong focus on design systems and front-end development collaboration
• Hands-on experience configuring, implementing, and using AI in service of DS evolution
• CSS and FE framework fluency, conversant in FE code development frameworks
• Front-End Knowledge, familiarity with front-end development processes and constraints
• Interaction/UI Design Expertise, strong understanding of common patterns, best practices, and trade-offs
• Communication Skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Design Systems Expertise, proven experience leading or heavily contributing to the evolution of design systems
• Systems Thinking, strong ability to think in systems and develop scalable solutions
• Collaboration, strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Initiative & Ownership, proactive and self-directed, with the ability to take ownership of large projects
• Attention to Detail, keen attention to design details and a passion for crafting polished, user-friendly interfaces
• Tool expertise, advanced knowledge of Figma, Claude, v0, Figma Make, CLI, design MCP servers, and Storybook
