Senior Product Designer

The Senior Product Designer will lead the end-to-end design process for geospatial web applications, transforming satellite data into mission-critical intelligence for a next-generation monitoring platform. Key duties include creating intuitive geospatial interfaces, defining interaction patterns, conducting user research, and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end process from discovery and prototyping to high-fidelity design
• Create intuitive, powerful geospatial interfaces that translate complex data into actionable insights
• Gather feedback and conduct user interviews in close collaboration with product partners
• Define and architect the interaction patterns and design system for Planet's monitoring platform
• Partner with product and engineering to ensure top-tier design quality

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing complex digital products
• Bachelor's degree in design or an equivalent field
• End-to-end experience: taking projects from early ideation to live software, and iterating based on feedback
• Proficiency in Figma and enterprise design systems
• A solid portfolio demonstrating complex professional projects, your process, and the resulting impact
