UI/UX Designer

The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms by translating business requirements into various design artifacts. This role involves conducting user research, usability testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms
- Translate business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver elegant, scalable solutions
- Conduct user research, and usability testing
- Create user personas, journey maps, and interaction flows
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes (low- and high-fidelity)
- Design responsive interfaces for web and mobile applications
- Maintain and evolve design systems and UI component libraries
- Partner with engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
- Analyze user behavior data to iterate and improve UX
- Ensure accessibility (Section 508 standards) and inclusive design best practices
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and leadership
Requirements
- Must live within the DC, MD, VA area
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Candidate must be able to obtain CBP Public Trust clearance
- 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process
- Proficiency in Figma, Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools
- Experience designing responsive and mobile-first applications
- Solid understanding of interaction design, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Familiarity with usability testing methodologies
