The Principal Product Designer will lead design strategy for critical company initiatives by partnering with executives and senior leaders across Product, Engineering, and Business. They will define and drive the vision for complex, cross-functional product areas while establishing design frameworks and best practices to elevate quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead design strategy for critical company initiatives, partnering with executives and senior leaders across Product, Engineering, and Business
- Define and drive the vision for complex, cross-functional product areas that span multiple teams and require long-term thinking
- Identify emerging opportunities and unmet customer needs that inform our product roadmap and competitive positioning
- Establish design frameworks, principles, and best practices that elevate quality and efficiency across the design organization
- Serve as a multiplier for the design team - coaching senior designers, leading critiques, and fostering a culture of excellence and psychological safety
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience, with significant experience leading design on high-impact consumer products
- A portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, exceptional craft, and measurable business impact
- Proven ability to influence product and company strategy through design leadership
- Track record of shipping products that achieved significant user adoption, revenue growth, or market differentiation
- Excellence across the design spectrum: research, systems thinking, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
