The designer will advocate for the human operator within a complex, machine-driven tactical system, focusing on translating advanced robot fleet capabilities into an intuitive Command and Control interface. Key tasks include designing the Common Operational Picture (COP), creating mission planning workflows, managing multi-modal data displays, and building a tactical design system.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive and frictionless Command and Control interfaces
- Create tactical COP designs, mission planning workflows, and multi-modal data displays
- Build and maintain a scalable component library
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and algorithm designers
- Establish feedback loops with field operators and conduct usability testing
Requirements
- Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field
- Experience in shipping production-grade web applications with complex data visualization
- Experience in defense, aerospace, fintech, or high-reliability domains
- Familiarity with defense products
- Systems thinking and technical pragmatism
