The main responsibilities involve operationalizing and scaling the MODO Design System, which includes governing the system, maintaining documentation, iterating core components, managing tokens, and ensuring structural quality and accessibility across platforms. This role also requires preparing templates and components for an AI-First context and collaborating closely with Frontend teams on technical iterations and cross-platform alignment.
Responsibilities
- Governance of the Design System: Maintain living documentation of Architecture and systematization of our Design System "Slider", ensuring scalability of the system
- Organize components for maximum reuse
- Iterate core components along with Product Designer UI Specialist
- Maintain naming, structure, and variants consistent
- Prepare reusable templates IA-ready
- Manage tokens and variables of the SDK
- Ensure accessibility in components
- Systematize patterns and 360° scalability of the product
- Tokens, Variables, and structure IA-ready: Align components to tokens and variables
- Detect structural inconsistencies
- Prepare reusable specs for automated flows
- QA structural system: Review components before releasing them
- Detect detachments, inconsistencies, or bad practices
- Ensure defined standards by Ops
- Motion and micro systemic interactions: Document motion patterns
- Integrate behavior and micro-interactions within the component architecture
- Ensure consistency of feedback and transitions between platforms
- Operational management in collaboration with Frontend: Work directly with Front Android and iOS and organize technical iterations
- Co-define reusable structure between design and code
- Align naming, states, and patterns cross-platform
- Validate visual standards along with Front
- Follow the evolution of components and libraries
- Metrics and adoption of the Design System: Analyze data usage of components and libraries
- Maintain inventory of components
- Identify structural debt and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare along with the UI Specialist a DS IA-First document
- Think of new components designed for automation
- Impulse a Design System consumable by IA (components, motion, assets, and templates)
- Align the DS to the Spec-Driven model
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a Design System Designer
- Solid knowledge of user-centered design, including research, conceptualization, and interaction design
- Experience in close collaboration with development teams
- Experience working with agile methodologies
- Knowledge and experience with Figma advanced (variables, tokens, architecture)
- Systemic thinking applied to UI
- Basic technical understanding (iOS/Android/Web)
- Experience in delivering structured documentation
