The role involves designing the core Sortie operations platform, including real-time dispatch, scheduling, booking, freight, and maintenance workflows used daily by operators. A key responsibility is defining how conversational AI and traditional UI coexist within a single product experience, alongside owning the design system.
Responsibilities
- Design the core Sortie ops platform
- Define how conversational AI and traditional UI coexist in a single product
- Own the design system that supports both information-dense dashboards and conversational interfaces
- Design the customer-facing booking portal
- Work directly with engineering and operations to ship constantly
Requirements
- Strong systems thinking
- Experience designing complex, data-rich applications
- Comfort with ambiguity and new interaction patterns
- Familiarity with responsive and mobile design
- 3-5 years in a professional design role
