Part-Time Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for translating customer visual goals into high-impact layouts, ensuring designs meet physical constraints and production requirements using expert-level Adobe Illustrator skills. This role also involves managing workload autonomously, adhering to best practices, and collaborating with sales and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Execution: Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, providing intermediate to expert level vector design
• Design with the 'End-in-Mind': Translate the customer’s visual goals and brand identity into high-impact layouts
• Technical Precision: Use a strong sense of geometry including dimensions, angles, proportions, and mathematical spacing to ensure designs are legible at scale and physically ready for output
• Image Management: Source photos, understand copyright/usage laws, and manage resolution specifications to ensure optimal enlargement from originals

Requirements

• Intermediate to Expert level in Adobe Illustrator
• Mathematical Mindset: Highly comfortable with measurements and basic calculations/conversions
• Emotional Intelligence: A positive, 'can-do' attitude
• Logical Thinker: You prefer a methodical, step-by-step approach to tasks and follow instructions precisely
• Physical Ability: Ability to sit and view a computer screen for long periods, stand for 4+ hours and lift up to 30 lbs when assisting production
