The Senior UX Designer will own and drive the end-to-end design process for major features within Kiro, creating and validating solutions through research, data analysis, and iterative testing. Responsibilities also include partnering with product and engineering for successful delivery, influencing product strategy, and mentoring junior designers.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end design process for major features or product areas of Kiro
- Create and validate design solutions through customer research, data analysis, and iterative testing
- Develop detailed interaction models, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Partner effectively with product management and engineering to ensure successful delivery
- Influence product strategy through strong design rationale and customer advocacy
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to raising the design bar across teams
- Define and document design patterns that can scale across multiple products
- Balance customer needs with technical constraints while maintaining a high bar for quality
- Present work to senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively
Requirements
- 7+ years of design experience
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- Experience in a variety of design, wire-framing, and prototyping tools
