Product Designer, Design Systems

The role involves owning and evolving the design system across web and mobile platforms, focusing on scalability, accessibility, and consistency by defining core foundations like tokens, typography, and component libraries. Responsibilities also include partnering with engineering, establishing governance models, driving alignment across product teams, and mentoring other designers on system usage.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve our design system across platforms (web, mobile), ensuring scalability, accessibility, and consistency
• Define and maintain core foundations including tokens, typography, color, spacing, layout, interaction patterns, and component libraries
• Partner closely with engineering to ensure tight alignment between design and code, contributing to implementation standards and documentation
• Establish governance models, contribution guidelines, and quality standards for system adoption and evolution

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product design, with significant experience contributing to or leading a design system
• Proven experience building, scaling, or maturing multi-product or multi-platform design systems
• Strong understanding of design tokens, component architecture, responsive systems, and accessibility standards
• Experience partnering closely with front-end engineering teams to ensure high-fidelity implementation
• Deep proficiency in Figma (including libraries, variables, and component architecture)
