Senior UX Designer

The Senior Designer will lead the end-to-end design process for a core product area, partnering closely with product and engineering from discovery through delivery and iteration. Responsibilities include planning and conducting user research, creating design artifacts in Figma, and contributing to the evolution of the design system.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for a core product area end-to-end from discovery through delivery
• Partner closely with product and engineering from day one
• Plan and conduct user research: interviews, usability tests, concept validation
• Use AI tools to accelerate the design process
• Create wireframes, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma
• Navigate ambiguity confidently and define the problem when it isn't handed to you
• Give and receive design critique in a way that raises the quality of the whole team's work
• Contribute to and help evolve the design system
• Mentor junior designers and act as a go-to resource for craft questions and process guidance
• Advocate for the user in cross-functional conversations

Requirements

• 5+ years in product design
• Track record of owning complex features or product areas end-to-end
• Craft mastery with a strong point of view on quality
• Strategic thinking with ability to frame ambiguous problems
• Autonomy with ability to navigate moderately ambiguous situations
• Collaboration with proven ability to work as a true partner with PMs, engineers, and researchers
• Communication with ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind decisions
