Senior Product Designer

The Senior Product Designer will own the end-to-end experience for their product area, identifying problems and designing innovative, high-quality solutions by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include shipping features balancing UI best practices within AI-powered experiences, proactively researching ideas, and contributing to the overall design and product culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship features that balance UI best practices within AI-powered experiences
• Proactively research and prototype your ideas, including comfort in adopting new tools that shorten the time between concept and delivery
• Stay current on best-in-class developer experiences
• Work independently and strategically to identify problems worth solving and design solutions that users love
• Partner closely with engineering, product management, AI research, and design peers to define both long-term strategy and short-term tactics
• Deeply care about the full user experience, from the moment they touch the product through related journeys
• Manage competing priorities and act on decisions in the face of ambiguity
• Contribute to the overall design and product culture at HackerRank

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience as a product designer
• At least one example of how you have collaborated with AI to build a product or tool that has been used by yourself or others, and an explanation of how you created it and what decisions you made
• Experience working with Codex, Claude, or Cursor alongside Figma and other creative tools
• A portfolio demonstrating excellent visual, UI, and interactive skills
• At least 3 years working on fast-moving enterprise or prosumer products
• Excellent communication skills including spoken and written English
• Comfort working with ambiguous problems, independently or with multiple stakeholders, and the ability to balance existing design standards with new AI paradigms
• Proven ability to ship high-quality products in a self-directed manner
