The role involves taking ownership of the end-to-end design process, transforming complex cooking fragmentation into effortless user experiences across appliance interfaces, mobile, tablet, and web. Responsibilities include communicating design rationale, applying best-in-class interaction patterns, and extending the design system while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Take the complex fragmented space of cooking in a multi-appliance kitchen, and turn it into a delectable, effortless experience
- Take strong ownership of the end-to-end design process — from discovery and framing to delivery and iteration
- Communicate design rationale clearly, articulating trade-offs and aligning stakeholders around informed decisions
- Design high-quality UI experiences across appliance interfaces, mobile, tablet, and web
- Apply best-in-class interaction patterns while adapting them thoughtfully to different viewports and device constraints
- Think systemically — ensuring individual UI decisions scale effectively across products and the broader platform
- Apply and extend Fresco’s design system to balance consistency with speed and product evolution
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, AI, and partner teams
- Contribute to the long-term vision of Fresco’s connected cooking ecosystem
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design / UX / UI
- Proven ability to translate complex, ambiguous problem spaces into intuitive user experiences
- Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated end-to-end product thinking
- Clear communicator who confidently explains design decisions and trade-offs
- Design the future of cooking that leverages the latest in IoT and AI
- Deep understanding of scalable design systems and platform thinking
- Experience working across multiple viewports (mobile, tablet, web, or device interfaces)
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma
- Experience working in cross-functional, agile product teams
