Environmental Graphic Designer - 12-month Fixed Term Contract

The role involves supporting a diverse portfolio of Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) work by translating client brands into physical spaces through graphics, artworking, and installations, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Key duties include creating compelling narratives, managing projects from concept to execution, overseeing fabrication, and interfacing with internal design practices like architecture and interior design.
Responsibilities
- Supporting our diverse portfolio of EGD work
- Creating powerful narratives and storytelling driven by strategic thinking
- Designing branded environments including brand identity, environmental graphics, artworking and digital integration
- Managing own projects within a wider team, ensuring clientâs needs are met on time and within budget
- Composing design presentations that are both verbally and visually compelling
- Interfacing with multiple internal design practices, including architecture, interior design, consulting and master planning
- Overseeing fabrication and installation processes
- Be able to multitask, working on various projects at once, often with tight deadlines and with careful attention to detail
Requirements
- Bachelorâs or higher degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or similar
- 5+ yearsâ experience in environmental graphics
- Design agency experience preferred
- Strong understanding of communicating and conveying concepts, both verbally and visually, through 2D illustrations and 3D visual communication
- Strategy interest considered bonus, but not required
- Demonstrate solid technical experience in the form of fabrication or installation drawings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well with a wide range of clients and 400+ staff
- Working knowledge of production, implementation, and vendor management
- Exceptional typography skills
- Experience in effectively self-managing time and project schedules
- Proven ability to work as a member of an integrated team and independently in an open office environment
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
