The Robotics UX Designer crafts intuitive, safe, and efficient user experiences for robotic systems and automation workflows, focusing on how humans monitor, control, configure, and collaborate with robots across digital and physical touchpoints. Key tasks involve mapping end-to-end workflows, identifying usability issues, designing interfaces for configuration and fault recovery, and ensuring designs align with safety standards and hardware constraints.
Responsibilities
- Research, visual/hardware design, and evaluate design options in robotics environments
- Design interfaces, flows, and interaction patterns for robotic systems
- Collaborate with safety and engineering teams to incorporate safety standards and operating envelopes
- Build interactive prototypes to explore concepts and validate workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in UX/Product Design
- Strong skills in interaction design and information architecture
- Ability to collaborate effectively with robotics and controls engineers
