Staff UX Designer - Acton, Mass. or San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

The Staff UX Designer will lead large-scale design initiatives for core product applications, driving best-in-class UX for the Omnipod Mobile App Suite by working closely with cross-functional development teams. This role involves leading tactical and innovation UX initiatives on mobile and web platforms, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring designs meet safety and effectiveness standards for medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Lead tactical and innovation UX initiatives within an agile environment on mobile applications
- Define safe, effective and delightful user experiences for mobile experiences
- Delivery of UX work with a variety of tools in an agile development environment
- Work in a fast-paced agile development team
- Lead UX discussions with key technical integration partners
- Understand their requirements, APIs and lead UX requirements including branding discussions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's in Psychology, Computer Science, HCI, Industrial Engineering, Interaction Design, Design, Human Factors or equivalent
- 7-12 years of relevant experience in UX and product design
- Expert knowledge in industry standard UX/Dev tools
- Fluent in usability standards and design heuristics and responsive design techniques
- Strong portfolio required with strong storytelling and presentation skills
