The Product Designer Lead will manage the design team, ensuring quality and excellence in craft while assuming full stewardship of product design for Freenow B2B products. This role involves close collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers to translate requirements into cohesive, data-validated designs that support user goals and business success.
Responsibilities
- Manage Design: You will be responsible for quality and design excellence of our product design team’s craft, pushing for growth and constant improvement.
- Domain ownership: You will operate with a substantial degree of autonomy assuming full stewardship of product design for Freenow B2B products.
- Collaboration: You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Analysts, and other stakeholders to translate complex business and user requirements into cohesive designs.
- Data-Driven: You will use data to validate your team’s designs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Senior Product Designer, including leadership experience, within a fast-paced environment on a multi million customer facing product
- Strong, proven experience designing for multi-platform products (iOS, and Android), coupled with expertise in utilizing and contributing to Design Systems
- A passion for creating simple, elegant, and highly effective designs
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate your design vision and rationale
- Proficient experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform and drive design decisions
- A strategic and analytical mindset, demonstrating a commitment to deeply understanding competitor actions and critically evaluating the Why and their relevance before adopting any approach
