Senior Product Designer UX/UI

Campfirefm Gmbh πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Berlin, Germany

Onsite Full-time Senior

The Senior Product Designer will lead the end-to-end UX/UI design for mobile applications and the creator-focused web platform, rapidly prototyping experiences often directly in code using tools like Expo/React Native and AI assistance. They will also be responsible for shaping the visual language and component systems while collaborating closely with engineering to ensure successful shipping of designs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead UX/UI design for our mobile apps and creator-focused web platform – from concept to shipped
  • Prototype fast and iteratively, often directly in code (Expo/React Native + AI tools) rather than starting in Figma
  • Make design decisions grounded in both qualitative user insight and quantitative product data
  • Be the advocate of the user in product decisions, without being precious about process
  • Shape and evolve our visual language, CI and component systems across mobile and web
  • Work closely with engineering so that what you design actually ships – and ships well

Requirements

  • 5+ years designing digital products, at least 2 as a Senior – with a strong portfolio of shipped mobile experiences
  • You think in interactions, not mockups
  • You love prototyping in whatever tool gets the idea across fastest – and increasingly that means code
  • You have experience with or genuine enthusiasm for code-based prototyping (Expo, React Native) and AI-assisted design workflows (Claude Code or similar)
  • You're data-informed: you know how to run a user interview, read a funnel, and translate both into better product decisions
  • Figma is in your toolkit, but it's not your first instinct
  • Bonus, if you've worked in media, audio/podcasting, or community products before
  • You're a podcast nerd or have a deep fandom for something – you get why communities matter
  • You speak fluent English; German is a meaningful plus
  • You're based in or near Berlin and enjoy working from the office regularly

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on a new and innovative product
  • Chance to be part of a small, senior team and make a significant impact
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment

About Campfirefm Gmbh

With CampfireFM we are not only building a social layer for podcasts, but we are creating the first real dedicated podcast ecosystem that unites distribution, discovery, community, and monetization for podcasters and their core audience. Podcasting creates this wonderful, loyal para-social relationship between creators and their core audience. But it is eerily hinged. Fans cannot really participate or interact with each other. And creators cannot easily make a living of their fandoms. We are going to change that. CampfireFM turns Listening into Participation. Our app functions as an enhanced podcast player. It makes podcast episodes interactive. It creates a home for podcasts' communities and it keeps podcasts alive inbetween episodes. After our beta testing phase in 2025 – with some of the biggest podcasts in Germany ("Baywatch Berlin", "Einfach mal Luppen", "Apokalypse & Filterkaffee", "Geschichten aus der Geschichte") – we will in 2026 open the app for many more podcasters and th
