The role involves applying a user-centered design approach across the product lifecycle, advocating for the customer to enhance satisfaction and engagement. Key duties include conducting user research, synthesizing insights, creating design deliverables like wireframes and prototypes, and validating solutions through usability testing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and support user research activities, including interviews, surveys, observation, and usability testing, to identify user needs, pain points, goals, and behaviours
- Create design deliverables including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-quality UI mock-ups to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Rapidly iterate on design solutions and work through details based on user feedback and technical feasibility
- Conduct usability testing with real users to validate design solutions and identify areas for improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to align on goals and ensure designs are feasible for implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role, 2+ years of relevant experience
- A strong portfolio showcasing experience creating user-centred design solutions
- Experience in designing complex digital products, ideally for web, desktop and mobile platforms
- Expertise in design software and modern prototyping tools such as Figma
