Senior Product Designer - Core - US East

The role involves shaping the core experiences that technical teams use to run, manage, and extend enterprise orchestration, focusing on making a highly scalable platform feel seamless for enterprise adoption. This includes improving end-to-end journeys and contributing to how AI/agentic capabilities evolve within Core workflows through customer validation.

Responsibilities

• Help shape the Core of Camunda, improving end-to-end journeys across the platform
• Contribute to how AI/agentic capabilities evolve in Core workflows
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define and execute on experience design strategy and success metrics
• Build strong customer intuition through direct engagement, and advocate for customer needs in trade-offs, sequencing, and cross-functional decision-making
• Lead end-to-end design for a product area - from vision crafting, to prototyping, testing, and polished execution
• Raise the quality bar through polished, accessible, and cohesive experiences — and push beyond “good enough” toward best-in-class interaction design
• Strengthen systems and patterns across the product by contributing design system improvements, identifying gaps, and influencing consistency beyond your immediate scope
• Drive alignment through crisp storytelling, clear decision framing, and proactive collaboration across cross-functional teams

Requirements

• Ability and/or willingness to use our product
• 5+ years designing complex enterprise B2B software
• Strong UX craft for technical users (workflows/journeys, not just screens)
• UX strategy + systems thinking across connected experiences
• High ownership + momentum
• Candid communication + strong design rationale
• Validation mindset (customer/internal) and outcome orientation
• Hands-on AI/agentic experience design (guardrails, control, evaluating trust/quality)
• Proficiency with Figma (or similar)
• Self-organized remote work
