
Invitation to Tender : Graphic Designer
The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (gi-toc) 🌍 Remote
The role involves supporting project managers by handling the design and layout of template-driven reports from manuscript to publishing stage, including typesetting, correction implementation, photo research, and styling Word document text according to the GI-TOC style guide.
Responsibilities
- Design and layout of template-driven reports from final manuscript through to a publishing stage
- Typesetting and implementation of corrections
- Photo research
- Styling up of template-driven Word document text
- Supporting assigned project manager by performing the tasks outlined in the Core Functions/Responsibilities on the Project in question
- Applying the GI-TOC design style guide to material
Requirements
- Publishing background
- Substantial experience of working in a book, magazine or other media environment
- Advanced experience in page layout and producing visual features
- Advanced software knowledge InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Word
- Excellent project management skills
- Preferably experience typesetting non-English language manuscripts, particularly Spanish
- Understanding of the publishing workflow process
- Quick turnaround of material where required and ability to meet deadlines
