Environmental Graphic Designer

The role involves driving environmental graphic designs, wayfinding systems, and architectural branding elements from initial concept through to production-ready files. Key tasks include collaborating with cross-functional partners and clients to ensure signage solutions meet brand integrity and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design & Creative Development
- Develop environmental graphic concepts for interior and exterior spaces
- Design branded environments, wayfinding systems, donor walls, monument signs, and architectural signage packages
- Create presentation-ready renderings and mockups for client approval
- Ensure brand integrity across all environmental applications
- Technical Execution
- Prepare production-ready artwork and files for fabrication
- Create scaled drawings and detailed layouts for permitting and engineering
- Work within material constraints, fabrication methods, and installation requirements
- Understand ADA compliance and wayfinding best practices
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Project Managers, Estimators, Engineers, and Production teams
- Review shop drawings for accuracy and design intent
- Attend internal project kickoff meetings
- Participate in client design presentations when needed
- Quality & Process
- Ensure accuracy of dimensions, materials, and finishes before release to production
- Maintain organized file systems and version control
- Support continuous improvement in design workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, or related field
- 3+ years' experience in environmental graphics, signage design, experiential design, or architectural branding
- Advanced proficiency in: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop
- Strong understanding of large-format print production and fabrication processes
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and site plans
