Senior Product Designer

The Senior Product Designer will design high-impact experiences across customer, broker, and internal teams, focusing on complex, regulated environments, particularly scaling loan origination. This hands-on role involves running discovery, prototyping, validating ideas, and partnering with engineering to ensure design intent is realized across the entire system.
Responsibilities
- Design across customer, broker, and internal experiences
- Apply human-centred design to direct customer experiences, broker facing tools, and internal workflows and processes
- Understand the broker journey and contribute to making Athena easy to work with
- Map end-to-end journeys to connect what customers and brokers see with what happens behind the scenes
- Explore problems from discovery to delivery
- Partner with engineers during delivery to ensure design intent is realised in production
- Create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to explore and communicate solutions
Requirements
- Proven end-to-end design experience - 5+ years' experience working in complex problem spaces
- Comfortable across contexts - designing for end customers, B2B users like brokers, and internal teams
- Systems aware - understanding how the pieces connect and great experiences aren't just screens, it's the entire system
- Artefact fluency - process maps, journey maps, service blueprints, system diagrams, wireframes, prototypes
- Clear communicator - articulating thinking clearly and concisely
- Future-focused, pragmatically grounded - delivering value incrementally along the way
- Visual sensibility - bringing UX intent to life with interfaces that are clear, usable, and delightful
- Collaborative to the core - working well within cross-functional teams
