The UX Designer will embed user-centered design principles across complex energy and infrastructure programs, leading the end-to-end UX process from discovery through prototyping and validation. This involves conducting user research, creating artifacts like personas and journey maps, and translating insights into actionable design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research including interviews, workshops, observation and usability testing
- Create user personas, journey maps and service blueprints to reflect behaviours and pain points
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights that shape delivery direction
- Plan and facilitate design sprints, iterative prototyping and validation activities
- Analyse usability results and feed improvements back into live programmes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Designer in complex organisational settings
- Strong understanding of UX methodologies across discovery, research and validation
- Experience running workshops, design sprints and usability testing
- Ability to produce high-quality UX artefacts such as personas, journey maps and service blueprints
- Proficiency in prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Axure, Adobe XD or equivalent)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and usability principles
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
