Responsibilities
- Apply user-centered design principles to understand problems and guide product direction
- Translate user goals and real-world scenarios into clear workflows and interface designs
- Conduct or support user research, synthesize findings, and ensure they inform design decisions
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile
- Validate concepts and designs through testing and incorporate feedback into iterative improvements
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure clarity on requirements, user needs, and design intent
- Ensure designs follow accessibility best practices and support a wide range of user needs
- Contribute to and apply a consistent design system across products
- Communicate design rationale effectively through presentations, storytelling, and facilitation
- Advocate for design best practices and contribute to improving design processes
Requirements
- Strong understanding of interaction design, visual hierarchy, layout, and information architecture
- Able to design for complex systems or multi-step workflows
- Uses a test-and-learn approach and incorporates evidence from research and feedback
- Proficient in Figma and able to create clear design documentation
- Passionate about designing products that solve real user problems
- Open to feedback and able to provide constructive critique
- Good time management skills and ability to deliver on commitments
