Senior Product Designer, Slack

The role involves leading the design for complex features or product areas from initial concept through to launch, transforming ambiguous problems into clear and simple solutions. Designers will partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape direction and priorities while driving user-centered thinking.

• Create flows, prototypes, and high-quality visuals using Slack's design system
• Drive user-centered thinking and incorporate research into your work
• Provide thoughtful feedback to peers and help raise the bar for craft
• Contribute to product and design strategy for your area
• Identify opportunities to improve usability, quality, and consistency
• Influence cross-functional decisions beyond your immediate projects
• Help improve how design operates within your team

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product design for desktop or mobile
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design thinking and execution
• Experience leading design for complex features or product areas
• Ability to work independently and drive clarity in ambiguous situations
• Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers
• Understanding of design systems and scalable product patterns
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence decisions
• Experience leveraging AI in your design process to explore ideas, accelerate iteration, and improve outcomes
