
Product Designer

The Product Designer will support Product Engineering by handling new aftermarket product design, component updates, special option creation, and developing necessary documentation like installation instructions and test documentation. Key tasks include creating Bills of Material, updating drawings, performing component testing, and applying FEA tools to improve design quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Create new boat cover designs based on completed scans
- Design new aftermarket products and develop supporting documentation
- Create and enter Bills of Material into ERP systems
- Complete ECRs and ECNs to document and release design changes
- Develop design improvements focused on cost reduction and component quality and reliability
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Design, or Drafting
- Experience with Rhino and MPanel is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Working knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling software
- Ability to work with basic measuring tools
