The role involves contributing to product and design strategy while owning the end-to-end user journey for the Coinbase AI Advisor across mobile and web platforms. Key duties include translating complex financial mechanics into simple, high-trust customer flows and running iterative design cycles based on research and data.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall direction and decision-making for product and design strategy
- Own the end-to-end user journey for Coinbase AI Advisor across mobile and web, from first-time activation through repeat usage
- Translate complex mechanics (risk, yield, trading, tax implications) into simple, high-trust flows that help retail customers make informed decisions
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Legal/Compliance to define problems, explore solutions, and ship experiences quickly
- Design high-quality UI and interaction patterns that are simple and intuitive for users
- Run iterative design cycles: ideate, prototype, test with users, and refine based on both qualitative research and quantitative data
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience
- Strong product thinking: you can take ambiguous, technical problems (AI + financial products) and turn them into clear customer journeys and flows
- Proven track record of working within a product team to ship successful products to users
- Sharp attention to detail and mastery over your craft: visual design, interaction design, and prototyping
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management experience
- Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
- Low ego, loves to collaborate, and open minded
- Experience designing AI-powered products (e.g., assistants, agents, recommendation systems)
- Interest and experience in financial products and/or crypto
