This role is responsible for designing, prototyping, and helping implement intuitive, high-performing digital experiences across ESAB’s global web ecosystem using UX best practices and data-driven insights. The designer will also translate UX designs into interactive, front-end-ready prototypes using HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript frameworks like Vue or React.
Responsibilities
- Design user-centered digital experiences using UX best practices, research, and data-driven insights
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma as the primary design tool
- Translate UX designs into interactive, front-end-ready prototypes and code using HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as Vue and React
- Establish and promote UX and design system standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Contribute to reusable design components and scalable design systems
- Design responsive experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Leverage user research, analytics, and usability testing to optimize customer journeys
Requirements
- Relevant university degree within design, development, human-computer interaction, or marketing
- 7+ years of UX design and front-end development focused on web and mobile
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX design expertise and technical understanding
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and research findings
- Strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and production-quality execution
- Solid understanding of UX principles, methodologies, and usability best practices
