Lead Product Designer - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract

This role involves leading and mentoring two Product Designers focused on the Checkout domain, defining the vision for best-in-class checkout and post-purchase experiences across platforms. The Lead Product Designer will act as a player-coach, balancing hands-on design work in Figma with people leadership and collaborating across Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Product Designers to define a vision for best-in-class checkout and post-purchase experiences
- Drive end-to-end design for the Checkout domain
- Act as a player-coach, balancing hands-on design work with people leadership
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize design work
- Use data and insight to refine checkout flows, payment options, and customer reassurance
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product design and user research
- 3+ years of experience managing Product Designers and supporting their development
- Strong experience in checkout or ecommerce flows
- A deep understanding of conversion optimisation, payment UX, and trust patterns
