The role is responsible for the design system, building components, templates, and designing the visual elements and interactive features of a product, ensuring visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces. Duties include designing user-friendly interfaces, maintaining design systems for consistency, and collaborating with UX designers and product managers.
Responsibilities
- Design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for products and services
- Create and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across products and services
- Design graphical elements such as icons, images, and illustrations to bring visual meaning to concepts
- Balance the relationship between aesthetic and usability to ensure user appeal without sacrificing functionality
- Develop user interface designs for digital products, considering usability, accessibility, and user experience principles
- Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to understand user requirements and translate them into design solutions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and iterate based on feedback
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions
- Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs and maintain design consistency across platforms
Requirements
- Previous experience in UI/UX design roles, preferably in product-focused environments
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Portfolio showcasing a range of UI design projects and problem-solving skills
- Experience in building design system and templates for mobile and web
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus
