The Senior UX Designer will drive the design strategy and vision for Coupa's Design System, focusing on components and patterns that support platform and emerging AI product experiences. Responsibilities include establishing standards, providing guidance to other designers, and collaborating with product, engineering, and AI/ML teams.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design strategy and vision for the Design System, focusing on components and patterns that support the platform and AI product experiences
- Help establish and evolve design principles, standards, and documentation within the Design System
- Provide guidance and support to UX designers across the organization on effective Design System adoption and contribution
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment between Design System goals, product teams, engineering, and the AI/ML teams
- Rapidly iterate on Design System components and documentation, working with stakeholders to align on direction, and creating working prototypes when necessary
Requirements
- 5+ years' overall design experience with significant experience managing or contributing to a large-scale Design System
- Proven track record of contributing to or executing design vision and strategy for Design Systems or core platforms
- Strong understanding of inclusive and accessible design practices, with experience implementing accessibility standards within a component library (WCAG)
- Expert-level understanding and real world application of user-centered design practices
- Advanced experience using Figma for creating and maintaining robust component libraries and documentation
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership on Design System value and adoption
