Product Designer - Design Systems

Lead design for Nextdoorâs internal design system and partner closely with engineering and product teams. Advocate for a user-first approach and mentor other designers while driving experimentation and A/B testing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for Blocks, Nextdoorâs internal design system, used across all products and services
- Partner closely with engineering and product to maintain a tight coupling between the Figma library and codebase
- Work with the design team to strategically evolve and augment the system in response to product needs
- Advocate for a user-first approach, ensuring that the design system drives real value for neighbors
- Mentor and guide other designers, providing feedback, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Influence product and business decisions by effectively communicating UX rationale to stakeholders
- Drive experimentation and A/B testing efforts, collaborating with product and analytics teams
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in the user experience, following best practices and advocating for diverse user perspectives
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in systems design, UX design, product design, or a related field
- Strong expertise in design systems, interaction design, and usability principles
- Portfolio demonstrating impactful work in complex systems
- Familiarity with technical integrations and workflows that connect Figma to code
- Strong storytelling and communication skills
- Experience conducting A/B tests and working with analytics tools
- Passion for staying ahead of industry trends, particularly in UX for social media
