The role involves inventing, designing, and implementing engineering solutions for complex material flow and efficiency problems in Amazon's global supply chain. The manager will lead design efforts and collaborate with teams to develop optimal solutions for fulfillment and transportation networks.
Responsibilities
- Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the global Amazon supply chain
- Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment and transportation network
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, OR a related field OR 2+ years Amazon experience
- 10+ years experience in the job offered or related occupation of Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or related
- 5+ years experience managing a successful team of engineers
- Experience must involve technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects
