Sr. Product Designer

The Senior Product Designer will own the end-to-end design of digital experiences connecting customers to Generac products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define problems and deliver high-quality designs. Major duties include designing mobile experiences integrated with connected systems, conducting user research, developing prototypes in Figma, and contributing to the design system's evolution.
Responsibilities
- Design mobile experiences that integrate with connected systems and physical products
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and QA to define requirements and ensure a high-quality implementation
- Apply a systems-thinking approach to create cohesive end-to-end experiences
- Conduct and synthesize user research to inform design direction and validate solutions
- Develop and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma
- Contribute to the evolution of the design system and advocate for consistent, scalable design patterns
- Communicate design rationale and decisions clearly to stakeholders and team members
- Participate in product planning conversations and contribute to roadmap prioritization through the lens of user experience
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Design, HCI, or related fieldâor equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience designing digital products for mobile and web applications
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong design craft, thoughtful problem-solving, and shipped work at scale
- Knowledge of user-centered design processes and interaction design principles
- Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality design work
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working with ambiguity
