
UI/UX Designer

The UI/UX Designer will contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience. Responsibilities include executing visual design stages from concept to engineering hand-off, conceptualizing user-friendly ideas, and creating necessary design documentation like wireframes and user flows.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems
- Participate in collaboration with stakeholders and contribute to larger design projects
- Collaborate with product owners, product management, service, and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions
- Execute visual design thinking stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Participate in user research and aligning with the larger market needs
- Provide deliverables, prototypes, and user flows, use cases that directly help drive feature value
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
- Reports to Director – Marketing, Home Energy
- Interaction with Sr UX/UI Designer, business executive management on NPD or other programs, highlighting progress and risks
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Design or another related field
- 1+ years of experience UX/UI
- Proven UI and UX experience
- Demonstrable UI and UX design skills with portfolio
- Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Competency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- Competency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Ability to present designs and sell solutions to various stakeholders
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up to date with the latest UI and UX trends, techniques, and technologies
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
