The UI UX Designer will apply user-centered design principles to guide product direction and create workflows and interface designs. They will collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure clarity on requirements and validate designs through testing.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure clarity on requirements, user needs, and design intent
- Conduct or support user research, synthesize findings, and ensure they inform design decisions
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile
- Validate concepts and designs through testing and incorporate feedback into iterative improvements
- Ensure designs follow accessibility best practices and support a wide range of user needs
- Contribute to and apply a consistent design system across products
- Communicate design rationale effectively through presentations, storytelling, and facilitation
- Advocate for design best practices and contribute to improving design processes
Requirements
- Proficient with Figma
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira or Miro
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern front-end frameworks
- 3-5 years in a Product Design or User Experience role
- Portfolio demonstrating product design, workflow design, research-informed decisions, and visual design skills
- Strong understanding of design processes, from research to prototyping to testing
- Experience designing for business software or other complex applications
- Experience working in an agile or iterative development environment
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or post-secondary training in Product Design, User Experience, or a related field preferred
