The Senior Graphic Designer will design and produce high-quality scientific communications materials, including posters, slide decks, and infographics, while refining scientific figures and data visualizations for clarity and impact. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to interpret briefs, develop concepts, and ensure all creative work adheres to brand guidelines and medical/legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Graphic Design & Production: Design and produce high-quality scientific communications materials, including medical congress posters, slide decks, infographics, and digital assets
- Redraw, refine, and enhance scientific figures, diagrams, and data visualizations to improve clarity, accuracy, and visual impact for publications, presentations, and digital platforms
- Develop professional PowerPoint presentations using advanced layouts, templates, infographics, and light animation to effectively communicate complex data
- Prepare print-ready files, including proofing, prepress checks, and final output for posters and other print deliverables
- Ensure all creative work adheres to industry standards, internal quality benchmarks, and medical/legal requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of graphic design experience, preferably within a Medical Communications or healthcare agency environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Advanced expertise in print production and complex scientific figure development, with demonstrated ability to translate dense data into clear, publication-ready visuals
- Experience working across both print and digital environments, with comfort adapting as client needs and studio capabilities evolve
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices for medical and scientific communications
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Exceptional layout, typography, and visual storytelling skills, paired with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional, client-facing teams
