
Product Designer

The Product Designer will create detailed designs, perform calculations, and develop prototypes for mechanical components while ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and conduct tests to validate designs and optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed designs, perform calculations, and develop prototypes for mechanical components
- Analyze and select appropriate materials based on mechanical properties, cost, and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams including designers/engineers, manufacturing, and quality control
- Conduct tests such as stress analysis, fatigue testing, and vibration analysis to validate designs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Previous design experience within similar industries to forestry
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, material properties, manufacturing processes, and computer-aided design (CAD) software
