Staff Product Designer, Aurora Ops Experience

Own the end-to-end design for the Command Center overseer experience, ensuring supervisors have the clarity and tools needed to monitor real-time truck activity safely and efficiently. Identify and solve the highest priority pain points for operations leads in their monitoring and intervention workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design for the Command Center overseer experience
• Identify and solve the highest priority pain points for operations leads in their monitoring and intervention workflows
• Create high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to model and evaluate how the Aurora Driver communicates its status and intentions to the Command Center
• Work closely with cross-functional partners in engineering and product to define, explore, and ship solutions that support the efficient operation of the fleet
• Influence strategic direction by presenting design rationale to leadership and contributing new processes back to the broader design studio culture

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product design
• A portfolio of exceptional product design and craft
• Experience designing operational tools, dashboards, or workflow management systems
• Strong interaction design skills with a high bar for visual design
• Ability to translate complex, evolving information architectures into intuitive and functional user experiences
