
Senior Vice President, Product Designer

The role involves providing guidance and technical expertise for complex user experience activities, including user research, interactive design, and visual design. The candidate will also mentor junior designers and advocate for user experience across the firm.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and technical expertise for the most complex user experience activities
- Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams
- Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications
- Synthesize situations and information across multiple factors
- Seek to build their expertise while applying company policies and procedures in the resolution of a variety of issues
- Give design feedback
- Build effective relationships with people on their immediate team and across other teams
- Get involved with team process and organization
- Be a strong communicator that checks for understanding, asks questions to understand others’ point of view, and advocates for the user experience across the firm
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
- Advanced degree preferred
- 10-12 years of experience required
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
