The Graphic Designer will support the Global Merchandise Services team by creating excellent graphics, typography, packaging designs, and product renderings to present, promote, and sell products. This role involves independently taking charge of the overall thematic design for the Starbucks Japan market merchandise category and collaborating with the product team for successful project launches.
Responsibilities
- Support GMS in presenting, promoting, and selling products by creating excellent graphics, typography, packaging designs, and product renderings
- Independently take charge of the overall thematic design for Starbucks Japan market
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure project deadlines are met
- Develop a comprehensive design schedule for each promotional window and manage every milestone to ensure on-time delivery
- Act as a communication bridge between customer and the product design center based in Shanghai office
Requirements
- Bachelorās degree in Graphic Design or equivalent related experience
- 4~5 years experience in relevant area or industry
- Fluent English
- Understanding of global graphics and design trends, particularly in Japan market with its culture uniqueness
- Solid word processing and computer database skills with knowledge of Adobe Photo Shop/Illustrator etc.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups at all organization levels
