The Senior Graphic Designer will develop and maintain Ciena’s visual brand identity across various design projects and ensure high-quality creative assets are delivered on time. This role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies to enhance visual storytelling and brand consistency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Ciena’s visual brand identity across diverse design projects, including iconography, infographics, presentations, trade show graphics, advertising, collateral, social media, websites, and video
- Contribute to the evolution of brand guidelines, templates, systems, and assets
- Create layouts and designs that align with creative briefs and marketing objectives
- Manage artwork production processes for trade shows and internal/external events
- Design and modify infographics, diagrams, and illustrations to enhance visual storytelling
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver high-quality creative assets
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer (in-house or agency)
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art direction, visual communications, or related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Bridge), Figma, and Microsoft Office
- Portfolio showcasing expertise in layout, typography, and visual composition
- Experience designing for global brands or working within established brand guidelines
- Proven ability to develop designs for trade shows and events under tight deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
