Lead Product Designer, Slack Productivity

The Lead Product Designer will be responsible for leading design for complex, high-impact productivity features within Slack, turning ambiguous problems into clear, simple solutions by partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams. Over time, the role involves shaping the product vision for Slack’s productivity tools and ensuring seamless, connected experiences across different tools.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product design for desktop or mobile
• A strong portfolio showing end-to-end design thinking and craft
• Experience leading design on complex or unclear problems
• Deep understanding of UX, interaction design, visual design, and motion design
• Experience working closely with Product and Engineering partners
• Ability to explain your ideas clearly and influence decisions
• Experience designing systems that scale to many users
• Strong attention to quality, accessibility, and detail
• Proven experience using AI in the design process to inform decisions, accelerate iteration, and deliver stronger design outcomes
